Rheumafort was developed at California's Irvine University. It contains a unique composition of six plant extracts. Rheumafort formula has been amended in 2019. In the new lemon fruit extract has been replaced by turmeric rhizome extract with the Latin name Curcuma longa.

Properties of constituants and their action: Rheumafort provides nutrients that have a beneficial effect on joints health. This has been confirmed by plenty clinical observation and in a clinical study at the Clinic for Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, Poznan University of Medical Sciences.

Angelica Root Extract

Angelica root extract (Radix Archangelicae) has been used in Chinese medicine traditionally. Angelica extract provides angelicine, ostol, ostenol and angelic and ferulic acids that have multidirectional biological activity, i.a. beneficial effect on joint' health. It also provides essential oils containing β felandren, α-pinen, and ρ-cymol, which have antiseptic properties.

Broccoli Sprout Extract

Broccoli sprout extract (Surculus Brassicae oleracea italicae) is a rich natural source of organic sulfur in so called thiol groups. It provides glutathione, which plays a key role in antioxidant and detoxification processes. Research has shown that people who consume too little glutathione more often suffer from joint diseases. Broccoli extract is also a rich source of iron, calcium, potassium, β-carotene and folates. It also provides important indol compounds: indolo-3-carbinol and diindolilomethane (DIM), whose consumption is beneficial in several clinical situations.

Astragalus Root Extract

Astragalus root extract (Radix Astragali) provides i.a. triterpenoid saponines, so called astragalosides, that have adaptogenic and immunomodulating properties. They improve circulation and blood flow, support toxins elimination, and have an energizing effect. It has been proved in several experimental papers that consumption of triterpenoid saponines from Astragalus is very beneficial in several clinical situations i.a. for joints' health.

Chamomile Flower Extract

German chamomile extract (Anthodium Chamomillae) provides volatile oils α-bisabolol and its oxides, polyacetylene compounds (spiroether) and matricin converted into chamazulene that has strong spasmolytic, soothing and antioxiditive properties. Moreover, the extract provides flavonoids (apigenin, quercetin), coumarines, and mucilages that show powerful synergistic activity protecting from free radicals cascade (oxidative damage). The chamomile compounds support ACTH and cortisone secretion. The consumption of chamomile preparation is beneficial in several clinical situation i.a. for joints' health.

Turmeric Root Extract

Turmeric Root Extract (lat. Curcuma longa rhizomae) it is primarily a source of curcumin. Curcumin[9] is a natural polyphenolic compound derived from the rhizome of turmeric, otherwise known as Indian turmeric. It is a plant derived from the ginger family, showing a wide range of biological activity. It is grown in India, China and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines).

Pineapple Fruit Extract

Pineapple fruit extract (Fructus Ananasi) is most of all a source of the proteolytic enzyme bromelain that helps to break down proteins and also may help to break down blood clots. It may intensify antibiotic effect. Several research projects have confirmed that bromelain consumption is beneficial in several clinical situations i.a. for joints, coronary vessels, sinuses and urinary tract health.
